Have you ever wanted 300whp in your Toyota MR2, only with the reliability of a Toyota Sienna or Camry? Well now you can have that! We stuff the 3.5L 2GRFE Engine into the MR2 and it transforms the car into a completely different animal. Gone are the days of fiddling with boost controllers or doing turbo upgrades to try to squeeze every horsepower out of your MR2.
The 2GRFE Engine was found in many Toyotas built since 2005 (Toyota Avalon, Camry, Rav4, Highlander, Venza, Sienna), Lexus cars (Lexus ES350, RX350), and also in some Lotus Models (Lotus Evora, Exige). For this reason, replacement parts/sensors are as easy to find!
We take the factory 2GR Engine and beef it up with high quality modifications to help the engine breathe better. This results in roughly 300whp as tested on our in house Dynojet Dynamometer. Take a look at the before and after dyno of a 2GR swap done in a 1991 non turbo MR2 (pictures below!)
We cut NO corners when we do these swaps. Our swap would consist of everything listed below, and the engine would be a low mileage unit (under 60k miles).
-2GRFE Engine w/ all required sensors/pieces
-Wiring harness conversion performed (OEM look, nobody will know this engine did not come in the car from the factory!)
-Frankenstein Motorworks Headers
-TCS Motorsports Y Pipe
-Modified 2GR ECU, modified to optimize modifications
-TCS Motorsports 2GR Coolant Hose Set
-TCS Motorsports 2GR Water Fill port
-TCS Motorsports 2GR Passenger side motor mount
-TCS Motorsports Air Intake tube
-TCS 6" Air filter
-TCS Motorsports Air intake coupler/kit
-Aisen OEM replacement Clutch Kit
-Clutchmasters Flywheel kit
-New OEM Flywheel bolt kit
-New pressure plate bolt kit
-Tachometer board modified to function properly with 2GR Engine
-TCS Motorsports 02 Extension harness kit
-TCS Motorsports 2GR Fuel Kit with regulator
-Redline MT90 Gear Oil
-All other required fluids/filters (oil change, coolant)
On top of our basic 2GR swap package, we offer 2 options:
-A/C Conversion. This includes a brand new Denso 1GR A/C compressor and a set of TCS Motorsports A/C conversion lines. This price assumes that the rest of your cars a/c system is functioning properly
-Powdercoated Valve Covers. This covers the tedious work of removing the oil baffles on the underside of the 2GR Valve covers, and drilling/tapping the mounting holes. Then having the covers powder coated the color of your choice, and then resealing the baffles back onto the valve cover. This is the safest/best way to coat these valve covers to ensure that no blasting media is trapped in the baffles and leaving you with a damaged engine!
