Here it finally is! The 2GR V6 crate engine package. This is the ultimate package for the do-it-yourself type of MR2 owner! Take all of the guess work out of this swap and just click one button and have TCS send you a completely ready to drop in engine swap!
With our crate engine package, we will fully prepare the engine for installation into any SW20 (1991-1999) Toyota MR2. Non turbo or turbo model, it doesn't matter! When you receive the package from TCS, all you will need to do is swap over your transmission onto the TCS crate engine, and install!
The TCS 2GR V6 engine swap crate package consists of the following:
- 2GR Engine w/ all required sensors/pieces (sometimes this can add quite a bit to the engine costs if you do it yourself because most engines come pretty stripped down) Our engines will have under 80k miles
- Wiring harness conversion performed and installed onto engine
- Frankenstein Motorworks Cast Header assemblies
- TCS Motorsports Motor Mount
- Frankenstein Motorworks Drive by wire gas pedal mount
- Toyota Drive by wire gas pedal installed onto FMW pedal mount
- Tuned 2GR ECU, modified to eliminate factory immobilizer, raise rev limiter, remove speed limiter, optimized fuel and timing tables, optimized for performance modifications
- TCS Motorsports modified water fill port
- TCS Motorsports Y Pipe w/ adapter for TCS or Berk Exhaust system
- TCS Motorsports 3" Air Intake Kit
- S&B Large Air filter
- New valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, new spark plugs installed
- Clutchmasters Aluminum 2GR Flywheel kit
- New OEM flywheel bolt kit
- New OEM Clutch pressure plate bolt kit
- Tach Modified (customer must send us their tachometer to be modified and sent back)
- TCS Motorsports 2GR fuel pressure regulator kit

In addition to our basic crate engine package, we offer a few upgrades that can be ordered at the same time as the crate package. Our website does not allow us to add this many options for this product, so these options will be discussed and billed separately to the customer upon ordering.
- A/C package - $390 - This includes a brand new Denso 1GR a/c compressor (needed to make the a/c functional on the mr2) along with a new set of TCS a/c lines that are plug and play to the factory main a/c lines on your chassis. Our a/c lines are only made to fit the 91-93 cars currently.
- Powder coated valve covers - $475 - When selecting this option, the customer can select what color they would like the valve covers to be powder coated. The possibilities are nearly endless, we will reach out to you after ordering and discuss colors.
- Hand ported lower intake manifold - $275 - We remove the lower intake manifold from the engine and hand port the runners. This typically gains 4-6whp as proven on our in house Dynojet dynomometer.
- New Denso Alternator - $175 - The standard crate package will come with a used 2GR alternator, this upgrade is exactly as it sounds... we install a brand new Denso brand alternator before shipping you the engine
- Walbro fuel pump - $115 - If you have a turbo model car with a good working fuel pump, this is not a necessity. If you have a non-turbo model MR2, this is a necessity. Included is a genuine walbro fuel pump with installation kit
- Clutchmasters FX250 clutch upgrade - $425 - You are more than welcome to reuse your existing clutch when using our crate package, or this is our clutch of choice for swaps that we do at TCS.
- TCS Motorsports Exhaust system - $675 - Brand new TCS exhaust. Your choice of the single muffler dual exhaust, or the dual muffler dual exhaust.
